Susanne Philippson

Susanne Philippson was born in Seifhennersdorf, Germany. From 1997 to 2000 she studied Product and furniture design at ‘Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication’ in London. In 1998 she was Erasmus student at Lahti Institut of Design in Finland for three months; then she continued studying at Design Academy in Eindhoven. In 2005 she opened her own design studio after having worked for Habitat, Droog Design and Muji in Japan. It’s in 2006 that her first design project was shown: the lamp Guardian of Light, carried out together with Pallucco. After that, her collaboration with Diamantini & Domeniconi Company allowed Susanne to show “Oora”, a series of container pieces of furniture, at International Furniture Fair in Milan 2007.

Susanne Philippson Ë nata a Seifhennersdorf, in Germania. Dal 1997 al 2000 ha studiato Product and furniture design al Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication di Londra. Nel 1998 ha frequentato il Lahti Institut of Design in Finlandia e ha poi proseguito i suoi studi alla Design Academy di Eindhoven.
Dopo aver lavorato presso Habitat, Droog Design e in Giappone da Muji, ha aperto il suo studio a Berlino nel 2005. Nel 2006 Ë stato presentato il suo primo prodotto di design: la lampada Guardian of Light, realizzata con Pallucco. In seguito Ë iniziata la sua collaborazione con Diamantini & Domeniconi, che ha portato alla realizzazione della famiglia di contenitori Oora (presentata al Salone del Mobile 2007).
